The video below got over 13 million views and has been around since 2008. But strangely enough, I only just saw it and I’m now wondering, “Where was this video all my life?”
The video is all about that little word, “laryngospasms.”
Yeah, it’s not a very little word, but the meaning is pretty simple. It’s something only a small few of us will ever experience. It’s a rare sensation that occurs when “the vocal cords suddenly seize up or close when taking in a breath.” This makes it very difficult to speak or breath.
To bring awareness to the condition, a group of doctors came together and called themselves The Laryngospasms.
They then got their mics out and sang about the condition in a parody of Neil Sedaka’s “Breaking Up Is Hard To Do.”
