One 11-year-old girl’s life is now ruined after another girl threw boiling, hot water on her face during a sleepover in the Bronx.

The attack occurred early Monday morning  near a home at E. 166th St. in East Concourse on Findlay Ave. Jamoneisha Merritt endured second-degree burns on her face and shoulder.

According to reports,  Merritt received threats to not go the sleep, but she did anyway. She woke to a searing pain from burns all over her face and chest. Merritt was quickly taken to the Harlem Hospital’s burn unit.

An older girl, 12-year-old Aniya Grant Stuart, was charged with the crime. Merritt’s cousin, Yolanda Richardson, told local news Stuart and her 11-year-old cousin got into an argument before the incident occurred. “[Stuart] told [my cousin] if she goes to sleep, they were going to do something to her,” Richardson explained.

It’s just sad that little kids can be this cruel!
