In order to encourage adoption, Hungary-based Mad Scientist Brewery is giving free crates of personalized beer to anyone who adopts one of seven, chosen dogs from the local, animal shelter. Brewery owner Tamas Szilagyi’s love for the critters at Budapest’s Noe Animal Sanctuary inspired the idea.

Over the course of 25 years, thousands of injured and abused animals have been housed in the sanctuary. Now, after the inception of the special campaign with the brewery, both organizations have been receiving tons of positive attention worldwide.

“We wanted to draw people’s attention, that sanctuary dogs are not worse (than other dogs), they are not waste you throw out,” Szilagyi said in an interview.

Whether you’re a local or just a frequent visitor to Budapest, why not visit Noe Animal Sanctuary and adopt a new furry friend. You will be rewarded for your kind deed with free crates of personalized beer. (You can never go wrong with free beer.)

Currently, there are seven adoption-ready dogs at the sanctuary. Just in late February, there was already an adoption—one Melinda Varady took home a Rottweiler puppy.

A sanctuary spokeswoman said the facility is incredibly happy with the partnership!
