During the funeral ceremony of murdered, NYPD Officer Miosotis Familia, 16-year-old Julien Rodriguez played the song, “F**k the Police,” which blared from his apartment. It was an incredibly disrespectful thing to do, and you can bet NYPD officers who gathered to honor their comrade didn’t let it slide.
Twenty, police officers went up to his room and asked him to stop the music—one cop even spoke Spanish to the the 16-year-old in an attempt to connect with the Latino teen.
Super Danny Morales sought out the tenant after and ordered him to evict both Rodriguez and his sister.
“I called him [the tenant] and told him he needs to take care of this right away,” Morales said in an interview. “I told him it’s disrespectful and they can’t be doing this. The police lost a family member. We all need to come together and respect that.”
The tenant complied, referring to Rodriguez and his sister as “lowlives.”
“They’re gone. The case is closed. They’re no longer in my house. I don’t know where they went,” The tenant said to the media.
Rodriguez tried to justify his disrespect by saying, “Since they did not show respect for my brother and my friend, why should I show respect to them?” More, he called his act “satisfying.”
It’s still unclear as to the details regarding where Rodriguez and his sister went after they were kicked out.
