Living to be 100-years-old is a milestone few people ever “live” to reach. So when the rare occasion happens it’s only fair that it is celebrated to the fullest. And twin sisters Maria Pignaton Pontin and Paulina Pignaton Pandolfi understands this very well.
The sisters will celebrate their 100th birthday on the 20th of May with their very big family and to commemorate the day, a photographer named Camila Lima snapped photos of the two beautiful ladies in a “whimsical” photoshoot.
Lima, from Cariacica, Brazil told ABC News that she usually snaps photos of elderly couples “as a way to inspire young couples.”
But after hearing about the twin sisters she decided to switch it up just a little bit from her usual shoots. She contacted the twin sisters with the idea of the shoot and the sisters were more than happy to partake.
“They did everything I asked and did not complain about tiredness,” Lima said.
The Twin Sisters were very pleased with the photos.
In the end, Lima told ABC News that the two sisters were “very happy and satisfied” with the photos.
The sisters’ lived a very long life and with it, a lot of children. According to Gazeta Online:
“Maria has five children (one already deceased), 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and one great-grandmother. Paulina has six children (one deceased), 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.”
