Planned Parenthood has been at the forefront of political controversy for quite some time now, especially since they have managed to brand themselves as a facet of “women’s rights.” It’s hard to believe there was once a time when the “abortion factory” known as Planned Parenthood admitted that abortion actually “kills the life of a baby.”
The place known for being where to go for all your abortion needs has done a great job of convincing people that the procedures they provide are totally harmless and without consequence. In fact, they’ve just about convinced their supporters that what they do is actually good for women.
Some of the terms they use to describe what they do include “very safe” and “effective.” These terms, of course, detract from the very nature of what it is that they are doing–which is killing unborn babies. Nowadays, the baby-killing behemoth purports that abortions are essentially a natural part of women’s healthcare.
Interestingly enough, Planned Parenthood was not always as evil as it is today. There was actually a time when the nation’s largest abortion provider even encouraged women not to get abortions. As pro-life African Obianuju Ekeocha, from Culture for Life Africa, has revealed, back in the 1950s, Planned Parenthood’ actually supported real family planning–and did not advocate the practice of aborting babies every time you had an “oopsies.”
Not only did the 1952 pamphlet uncovered by Ekeocha clearly state that abortion “kills the life of a baby,” it also stated that abortion could be “dangerous to your life and health.”
As reported, here is an excerpt from the Planned Parenthood pamphlet:
“Is abortion birth control?”
“Definitely not. An abortion requires an operation. It kills the life of a baby after it has begun. It is dangerous to your life and health. It may make you sterile, so when you want children you cannot have them. Birth control merely postpones the beginning of life; abortion kills life.”
