Double Standard Given To Liberals, Conservatives Highlighted By Comey “Investigations”

A recent comment from former FBI director James Comey has highlighted the hypocrisy that runs rampant in the Democratic party: Comey claims Obama’s Attorney General Loretta Lynch pushed him to soft-pedal the seriousness of the Clinton investigation. In contrast, Trump has been lambasted by the liberal media for allegedly asking Comey to “drop” the Flynn matter. The double-standard is hard to ignore.

Comey been in the spotlight ever since the FBI began its investigation of Hillary Clinton. He’s been scrutinized by both ends of the political spectrum, with some liberals saying the investigation cost Clinton the election, while conservatives are still wondering why she’s not in prison.

During his testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee, Comey made a statement that truly highlights just how far the Left was willing to go to protect Hillary. According to Comey, Loretta Lynch implored him to present the investigation in a less severe light, and more like a simple “matter.”

As sources report, Comey said, “At one point, the Attorney General [Lynch] told me not to call it an investigation but instead to call it a ‘matter,’ which confused and concerned me. But that was one of the bricks in the load that led me to conclude I have to step away from the [Justice] Department if we’re to close this case credibly.”

This is not the first time Lynch has been accused of “pressuring” Comey to downplay the seriousness of the Clinton investigation, either. Reports have even indicated that Comey put the Clinton investigation to rest after Lynch had a meeting with former President Bill Clinton. Where’s the outrage over that?

The double standard for liberal and conservative politicians is alive and well, it seems. While Trump is crucified for asking Comey to “wind down” the Flynn investigation, Loretta Lynch walks off scot-free after pressuring him to downplay the entire Clinton investigation on multiple occasions.
