Recently, liberal-firecracker Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) expressed that she felt “troubled” by Obama’s fee of $400,000 for lecturing to a well-known Manhattan-based firm.

Obama’s speaking price is reflective of his annual, presidential salary! But surely it’s worth every penny for Cantor Fitzgerald LP’s forthcoming health-care forum. (It’s a good cause, right? Hmmm)

Obama Representative Eric Schultz explained his boss’s fee doesn’t reflect or change the former president’s political stance. “With regard to this or any speech involving Wall Street sponsors, I’d just point out that in 2008, Barack Obama raised more money from Wall Street than any candidate in history—and still went on to successfully pass and implement the toughest reforms on Wall Street since [President Franklin Delano Roosevelt],” Schultz wrote in a statement.
