There has been a very public feud between President Trump’s Chief Strategist Steve Bannon and Josh Kushner, Trump’s Senior White House Adviser (and son-in-law). The senior aides have not been able to see “eye to eye” and are said to have very different political ideologies. There seems to be constant conflict between Bannon and Kushner–and Trump is sick of it.
Bannon and Kushner’s broken relationship is one that makes sense; Bannon is a nationalist republican, and Kushner is a liberal democrat. Kushner, who is married to Ivanka Trump, would have never (had he not been a relative) been so close to Trump–given his reportedly liberal democrat stances.
Unfortunately for Bannon (and Trump voters), Kushner is Trump’s son-in-law and has the President’s ear. Many believe Kushner is causing Trump to take Democratic Party stances on issues–especially the recently failed republican healthcare plan, which was said to not even repeal and replace Obamacare.
Kushner’s influence is believed to have forced Trump to bomb Syria–something his voter base–and Trump–have been vocally against in the past.
As recently reported, “Donald Trump’s chief strategist Stephen Bannon has called the president’s senior advisor and son-in-law Jared Kushner a “cuck” and a “globalist” during a time of high tension between the two top aides, several Trump administration officials told The Daily Beast.
The fighting between Kushner and Bannon has been “nonstop” in recent weeks, according to sources who spoke on condition of anonymity. It’s been an “open secret” that Bannon and Kushner often clash “face-to-face,” according to senior officials.
One official said Bannon has lately complained about Kushner trying to “shiv him and push him out the door” and likened him to a fifth column in the White House.”
Will Bannon return to being favored by Trump, or will Kushner’s influence direct Trump into a more “liberal democrat” direction? One thing is clear–If Trump listens to Kushner, there is a good chance his voter base will turn against him.
