In an interview with ABC News, former-Attorney General Michael Mukasey said it was highly probable some intelligence-community entity(s) surveilled Trump Tower during the 2016, presidential election.

President Trump posted a Saturday-morning tweet with a claim of Obama arranging for an intelligence-agency tap on Trump Tower—before the election. Upon this, the White House availed a statement pushing for a pre-election-surveillance investigation of Trump’s presidential campaign—spokesmen troubleshot the president’s assertion(s).
Obama spokesman Kevin Lewis staunchly denied any actions of Obama instructing Trump Tower be surveilled. “As part of that practice, neither President Obama nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance on any US citizen,” Lewis said. “Any suggestion otherwise is simply false.”
