Did Russia interfere with the 2016 US presidential election? That’s the million dollar question and if anyone can provide substantial proof on the issue a big promotion or immediate axing is on the table. But whatever the case may be, the investigators are refusing to let it go and new reports came out that Federal prosecutors have issued Grand Jury Subpoenas to associates of former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

CNN reports that subpoenas were issued by U.S. Attorney’s Office in Alexandria, Va., seeking business records as the FBI believes that the information will be pertinent to the probe.

This news came during the same night of FBI director James Comey’s firing and many believe that the two incidents might be linked.

The business records from Flynn’s associates will prove whether or not there was any malpractice “with Flynn’s handling of payment disclosures from clients tied to foreign governments” — which according to CNN includes Russia and Turkey.

Whatever information is unearthed from this subpeona may reveal “dark spots” in the probe of Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election and could bring the FBI one step closer to ending the investigation.
