We all love attention, even if we don’t like to admit it sometimes. It’s a completely normal thing and 37-year-old Ausarmaat Rahotep was simply quenching his human desire for attention when he called the police with a bomb threat but the way he did it was just so incredibly stupid that he made headlines all over the world.

According to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office Rahotep was arrested after saying he was “headed to Donald Trump with bombs.”

Yes, he actually said it. Early on Saturday morning, Rahotep called 911 and told the operator that he was “headed to Donald Trump with bombs.” As expected, the operator dug deeper into the man’s threat and learned that he was driving a large truck and was able to relay his location to deputies.

A Columbia County Deputy found Rahotep’s truck and chased him down as he tried to weave in and out of lanes at highway speed.

Eventually, the deputy was able to arrest Rahotep without incident. And because of the threat of explosives, a Valdosta Police explosives detection K-9 team responded to check the truck. Nothing was located. The truck had pool construction materials.

Rahotep was arrested for reckless driving, fleeing and attempting to elude, and making threats against elected officials.

Now, it is uncertain why the man made the threats even though he clearly didn’t have any bombs on him but I’m guessing he just wanted attention and he got it!!! He got lots of attention but for a very very stupid cause.
