Arizona Senator John McCain’s questioning of James Comey has left many people confused, and concerned about the state of his health. During the testimony, McCain reportedly seemed to “conflate” the issue of the alleged Trump-Russia scandal with the Hillary Clinton email server scandal.

Whether or not he was “conflating” the two, as some believe, or simply drawing a parallel between the speed at which the Clinton case was resolved and the lengthy nature of the Trump investigation could be up for debate.
McCain said that he was “troubled” that the Clinton case was already closed, while the Trump investigation seems to be far from over.

As reported, “You reached that conclusion as far as Secretary Clinton was concerned, but you’re not reaching a conclusion as far as this administration is concerned,” he commented.

Comey was quick to point out that the two incidences were not related. But, he is the man who led both investigations. Twitter erupted in questions about McCain’s health, with some pointing to his age as a potential reason for what some describe as a “bizarre” line of questioning. The 80-year-old senator eventually blamed his lack of cohesion on staying up to the wee hours of the morning to watch the Arizona Diamondbacks game.

After noting it appeared his comments “went over people’s heads,” he stated “What I was trying to get at was whether Mr. Comey believes that any of his interactions with the President rise to the level of obstruction of justice.”
Perhaps McCain is actually concerned that the investigation of President Trump is being dragged on and on, while Hillary Clinton’s email scandal was essentially swept under the rug.
