Obama may no longer be the President of the United but he has still has a lot of influence. This influence stretches to some of the folks over at Wall Street.
According to FOX Business, the former President of the United States is being paid $400,000 to make a speech at a Wall Street conference head by Cantor Fitzgerald LP. The theme of the conference will be healthcare and will be held in September.
Obama, nor his spokesman have yet to comment but senior officials at the investment bank have confirmed that the former President has agreed to do the speech.
Obama isn’t the most popular man on Wall Street though. During Obama’s time as president, he threw blame at the Wall Street banks for the 2008 recession and while on live TV he said “fat cat bankers on Wall Street”. So, will he be warmly welcomed to Wall Street? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
Do you think that Obama’s fee is too high or is it just right? Let me know on Facebook or in the comments section below.
