Survey: 56% Of Google Employees OPPOSED Firing Of Google Memo Guy

When Google engineer James Damore publicized his diversity memo it sparked a lot of outrage and even got him fired. But was it fair that the young engineer was fired from Google because of it? Well, not according to a majority of Google employees.

According to a new survey done on Tuesday and Wednesday by anonymous corporate chat app 56% of Google employees disagree with Google decision to fire him.

4000 people from different multiple companies were asked the survey and 441 of Google employees took part.

Some of the other companies that voted against Google’s decision to fire Damore were “Uber, 64%; Yahoo, 60%; Airbnb, 58%; Microsoft, 57%; Facebook, 56%; and Amazon, 54%”

Some of the companies that voted in favor of Google’s decision to fire Damore, based on majority were “Apple, 49%, Linkedin, 47%; and Lyft, 35%.”

Damore “filed a complaint” against Alphabet Inc. after his firing.
