United States-North Korea tensions are now heavier than ever. With the hermit nation successfully testing a missile with enough range to reach America and threatening to strike Guam, the US is getting ready to take major action.
President Trump seems very confident that any threat from North Korea is no match for the US and its “nuclear prowess.” In a tweet he wrote, “My first order as President was to renovate and modernize our nuclear arsenal. It is now far stronger and more powerful than ever before.”
He later added, “Hopefully we will never have to use this power, but there will never be a time that we are not the most powerful nation in the world!”
When North Korea sent out threats to attack Guam, Trump retweeted a story featuring fighter jets taking flight at the Andersen Air Force Base in Guam, saying the Air Force is more than ready to fight anytime.
White House aide Sebastian Gorka is asking America to support the Trump administration’s cause to end the threat of Kim Jong-un: “These are the moments when we have to come together as a nation and support the executive. Whether you voted for him or not, whether they’re a Democrat or whether they’re a Republican, these are trying times. … During the Cuban Missile Crisis, we stood behind JFK. This is analogous to the Cuban Missile Crisis.”
I completely agree with Gorka—both Democrats and Republicans should come together and agree on getting rid of Kim Jong-un.
