In Obama’s America, immigrant gang members could live in peace while performing a host of illegal activities. But Trump’s America is kicking these gang members to the curb and sending them all back to where they came from.

And now, so many gang members from El Salvador, in particular, are being deported that the South American nation is in panic. According to the Salvadoran government statistics, 398 gang members have been deported to El Salvador for the year so far. This is a lot, given that a total of 534 gang members were deported in the whole of 2016.

These high levels of gang deportations have caused the Salvadoran authorities to hold emergency meetings and attempt to come up with new laws to manage the influx of violent gang members.

“This clearly affects El Salvador. We already have a climate of violence in the country that we are combating,” said Héctor Antonio Rodríguez, the director of the country’s immigration agency. “If gang members return, of course this worries us.”

Trump made a statement earlier this month regarding the violent gang MS-13, or Mara Salvatrucha saying that they will be “gone from our streets very soon, believe me.”

And since then, multiple raids against them in multiple US cities have increased in intensity.

And according to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement more than 1,300 gang members have been arrested. And with all those arrests, comes a lot of deportation and El Salvador is preparing for the worst.

“Probably we won’t feel the symptoms today or tomorrow or the next week. But probably in six months or a year we’ll be feeling the symptoms of what these deportations are causing now,” San Salvador Mayor Nayib Bukele said in an interview.

This comes as a huge contrast to what Obama did. According to the Washington Examiner: “The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency released nearly 600 illegal immigrants convicted of sex crimes, many because their home countries refused to take them back, according to newly obtained documents.”

It’s sad that Obama was actually allowed to do that.

Thankfully, we can expect Trump to undo most of the damage done by Obama And yes, it’s a fact that deporting all these violent gang members to El Salvador is really bad for El Salvador but let’s consider that Trump is the President of the United States and not El Salvador. Americans are now safer as so many dangerous gang members are no longer residing among them.
