A new nuclear test is reportedly in the process of happening in North Korea. It seems that every warning against the secluded nation is going unheard; does Kim Jong-Un want war?
Recently, Trump met with Chinese President Xi Jinping to discuss actions in North Korea that must be taken to protect the US–and the world. The Trump administration has repeatedly stated that they hoped for China’s partnership in taking care of the North Korean problem. It’s also been reported that if China refuses to help, the US will have to take action themselves.
Only days ago China reportedly sent 150,000 men to North Korea’s border. The action came after Trump claimed that the “nuclear posturing in the Korean peninsula will no longer be tolerated.” China looks to be willing to help, although now it seems that North Korea doesn’t seem to care about the display against their tests.
As recently reported, “A Voice of America journalist tweeted that US government sources believe North Korea had placed a nuclear device in a tunnel and it could be detonated as early as this weekend.
It comes after Washington-based 38 North, a website that monitors North Korea, said satellite images from Saturday showed vehicles and trailers at the Punggye-ri test site and signs that communications cables may have been laid to a test tunnel.
The think tank said water appears to be being pumped out and was draining downhill “presumably to keep the tunnel dry for monitoring or communications equipment.”
Will there be actions taken against North Korea if they go against Trump’s wishes and set off another nuke? With war looming, it may be final test they do before the US–or China–is forced to respond.
